Children’s Céilí with Ark Housing
Bring the kids for a fun-filled Children’s Céilí at The Commons with music, dancing, and loads of craic!
Ark Housing Association invites you to bring the kids to our family celebration of traditional folk music, song, and dance.
This event is open to schoolage children up to the age of 12 years. Parents and carers need to accompany the kids but there will be plenty of refreshments to help you feel at home.
This fantastic event takes place on 16th October 2026, from 5pm – 6pm.
We’re delighted to welcome three talented Belfast-based musicians who will provide the soundtrack for our céilí. Enjoy the wonderful sounds of Maria Raffery on flute and whistle, Clair McGreevy on whistle, flute and guitar, and Jason O’Rourke on concertina. Their lively mix of traditional Irish music is sure to create a fantastic atmosphere and keep dancers and listeners entertained throughout the evening.
The Céilí at The Commons is part of Good Relations Week 2026, helping to create more welcoming, connected and inclusive communities.
So, do join us for an hour of energetic tunes, easy steps, and lots of craic. Whether you’re dancing or watching, this is a perfect way to enjoy some traditional céilí fun with friends and family and get talking to some of those friends you just haven’t met yet.
